    5.0 out of 5 stars My "Go To Book" for Designing Upper Body Classes for My Students, March 7, 2012
    As a yoga teacher and woman in her 50's I am keenly aware of how important it is to build and maintain strength in my body and help my students to do the same. Mr VanEs does a fantastic job in his book to explain the many health benefits of bodyweight exercises. It has clearly written instructions for all levels along with some great photos. The chapter on Osteoporosis is an awakening call for women of all ages. As a teacher I refer to this book often and highly recommend it, not only to my students, but to any woman who wants to do what's within her power to live a long healthy life!

    Ageless Beauty & Timeless Strength is a must have book for every woman over 40 in my opinion. My long work hours and busy schedule just keep me from attending regular yoga or other exercise classes. But I love yoga and I want to do something that's good for my body, especially as I get older. At 47, this book now is my ideal guide for practicing yoga at home. The postures are great. They're extremely easy to follow and a lot of fun to practice, without any special equipment. My doggies follow my exercises with curiousity... their downward dogs are still better than mine, though. :-) Besides the postures, it also contains a lot of valuable information about woman's health. It is right on target, and I've used it as a gift several times with great success. My friends loved it, too.

    I have found this book to be a great addition to my regular yoga practice. The more yoga I practice, the better I feel--more toned, more energetic, stronger, and more flexible. Additionally, yoga has helped me to build lean tissue and to lose the weight that is no longer serving me. This book has been a great companion to the yoga and aerobic exercises I already do. The book is knowledgeable, well laid out, simple to follow, and easy to incorporate into my busy life. I have seen results already both in how I look and, more importantly, how I feel and function. As a woman, I have often called on my husband to do the "heavy lifting" around the house. No more!
