When I saw that Zappos allows you to search for boots based on shaft circumference and height, I decided NOW was the time to finally find that ONE pair of boots that would fit me. Well, long story short, I tried on 17 different pairs of boots (thank goodness for their free return shipping!) and this one was the winner for me. I tried on boots of all different styles and heights and this one fit perfectly with skinny jeans and didn't make my legs look bloated. I got this boot in gray and it is not cheap looking, as another reviewer had said. One of the cheapest looking ones I tried on was from Ralph Lauren actually, for close to $200, so I guess it really varies from person to person. The reason why I'm writing a review here is because the price listed here is half of what Zappos charges ($80)! What's crazier is that this boot in taupe is even cheaper than that... I'm not pleased with myself. I always order my true size 8&1/2 but someone reviewed this boot and said it ran small... I mulled it over for like two hours before I placed my order... well I decided to order a 9 to be safe. . . AND IT WAS THE WRONG THING TO DO! They are too big, I'm so upset because I usually know better... THESE FIT TRUE TO SIZE!!! However, they really need a zipper because you have to maneuver like a crazy person to get your heel in there. They are of fair quality but mine look like they have been worn once; there are a few smudges next to the toes. I love these boots in spite of those two flaws because they are not only cute but I am 5'10" and they actually went all the way up to my knees! hard to find for the price) |
